PUPs / PUGs – Pick Up Player(s) / Group(s). Are random players met in matchmaking, or in the game world who join together to do team activities. PUGs are spontaneous social situations necessitated by players not having previously known friends to play with. Repeated PUGs with the same people can easily form into friendships.

Base Builder – A game genre focused on constructing a base. Often for the defense of periodic raids, or simply to survive the night. These games often feature resource management, unlockables for your fortress, and cooperative play.
